About SwiftConvert
Convert files without giving them up.
Most online converters ask you to upload private files to a server you know nothing about. SwiftConvert flips that: every conversion runs inside your browser tab using open web APIs and open-source libraries. Files never leave your device.
What SwiftConvert is
A single-page dashboard with one focused page per converter — images, PDFs, Word docs, spreadsheets, Markdown, HTML, JSON, CSV, YAML, XML, audio, and website ZIPs. Pick a source and destination and SwiftConvert handles the rest, locally.
Why local-only
- Privacy. Your files, contracts, IDs, and photos stay on your device. There is no server to breach.
- Speed. No upload wait. Conversion starts the moment you drop a file.
- No limits. No paywalls, sign-ups, daily quotas, or watermarks. Convert as many files as you like.
How it's built
SwiftConvert uses standard browser APIs (Canvas, Web Audio, File) plus battle-tested open libraries — pdf-lib, pdf.js, mammoth, docx, xlsx, marked, turndown, js-yaml, fast-xml-parser — to convert between formats without a backend.
